When using the Add to Cart Widget, there a few guidelines that you need to follow to make sure that you comply with all Facebook rules. Follow these simple steps to make sure that you provide a good experience to your customers and your Add to Cart Widget use is appropriate.
Check the position of the widget
The Add to Cart Widget must be positioned directly below your primary add to cart button. There can not be any elements between the add to cart button and the Add to Cart Widget.
If you have any countdown timers or security badges, please make sure that these are displayed below the Add to Cart Widget.
Recart will automatically load the Add to Cart Widget on your pages, but in some cases, the positioning needs to be adjusted. You can mark where you would like to display the Add to Cart Widget by adding a single line of code to your template file.
If the Add to Cart Widget isn't showing up in the correct place automatically, please add the following code snippet under your add to cart button:
Make sure to only have one Add to Cart button on each product page
Subscriptions with the Add to Cart widget are triggered when a visitor clicks on an Add to Cart Button. To stay compliant with Facebook's policies we advise having only one Add to Cart button (there cannot be any secondary buttons either, such as sticky Add to Cart) on the product pages.
We recommend removing any additional Add to Cart buttons before applying for the whitelisting process.
Make sure that your customers know what they sign up for
For the sake of complying with Facebook guidelines and providing a good experience for your customers, Recart adds an informative text below the Add to Cart Widget. This textbox should be used for informing your customers about what kind of notifications they can expect when signing up using the Add to Cart Widget.
Please verify that the informative text is clearly visible and contains the necessary information.
You can edit the content of the textbox in your Add to Cart Widget Editor.
