SMS Settings
Explains how to configure your sending number, branded URLs, message frequency, quiet hours, and contact cards.
Use this guide to configure your SMS sending preferences so you can control branded URLs, message frequency, quiet hours, and contact cards.
Access SMS Settings
Click Settings in the bottom left corner of your Recart dashboard.
Select the SMS tab at the top of the page.

Sending Phone Number
Your assigned sending phone number displays at the top of the SMS Settings page. This is the number your subscribers see when they receive messages from you.
Note: Your sending number is assigned to your account and cannot be changed. If you have questions about your number, contact Support.
Branded URL
Branded URLs replace generic short links with your own domain name, building trust and improving click-through rates.
You can choose between 3 formats: 13,10 or 8 characters
Long version - Better for brand visibility
Short version - Saves characters in your messages

Smart Sending
Smart Sending prevents subscribers from receiving too many promotional messages in a short period. After receiving a promotional SMS, subscribers won't get another one until the time window passes.
Range: 0–168 hours
Recommended: 8 hours

Quiet Hours
Quiet Hours prevent promotional messages from being sent during specific times, typically overnight. Messages scheduled during Quiet Hours are queued and sent once the window ends.
Default setting: 8 PM – 9 AM in each subscriber's local time zone
Note: Quiet Hours are fixed by default to ensure SMS compliance. If your business has specific needs, contact Recart Support to discuss modifications. Additional documentation may be required.
SMS regulations vary by region. Key regulations include:
United States: TCPA Guidelines
Canada: CASL
European Union: GDPR and ePrivacy Directive
United Kingdom: PECR
Australia: Spam Act 2003
Contact Card
A Contact Card lets subscribers save your phone number with one tap—including your brand name, logo, and contact details. When subscribers save your number, your messages display your brand name instead of an unknown number.
You can customize your Contact Card with:
Contact image (your logo)
Site info (short description)
Support email
