This article explains how to enable the Optimonk integration.

How do I collect subscribers with Optimonk?

You have 2 ways to do it. You can choose between the following modes:

  1. Email and Messenger mode – collecting both email and Messenger subscribers simultaneously

  2. Email or Messenger mode (a.k.a Smart Messenger mode) – collecting email or Messenger subscribers based on their Facebook login status 

Enabling the integration is a piece of cake, just install both apps on your store, decide which mode you want to use and follow the steps below.

1. Email and Messenger mode

This is the most straightforward integration, it adds a Messenger widget under the email field. It collects both email and Messenger subscribers when Recart detects an active Facebook login in the customers’ browser. In case there’s no active Facebook login, the popup will only ask for email.

This mode is for merchants who want to prioritize email over Messenger as this popup will always collect email address from the customers.

Average conversion rate: 12%

How to enable it:

  1. Create a new campaign in Optimonk

  2. Edit campaign’s variant by clicking on Variant and going into Settings

  3. In Settings choose the Add element tab

  4. Drag and drop the Messenger to the template

  5. Select Recart at the Add integration tab:

6. Then find the Fields part, and choose Email:

Now you can start collecting both Messenger and email subscribers. 

2. Email or Messenger mode (a.k.a Smart Messenger mode)

This mode shows the Messenger or the email subscription based on the Facebook login status in the customers’ browser. In case they’re logged into Facebook, you ask for a one-tap Messenger subscription. If they’re logged out, the popup will show the email field alone.

This mode is great for maximizing conversion rates. The one-tap Messenger subscription usually boosts the popup conversion rate by 15-25%. If you want to have the maximum amount of customers in either your Messenger or email list, this mode is for you.

Average conversion rate: 14%

How to enable it:

  1. Create a new campaign in Optimonk

  2. Edit campaign’s variant by clicking on Variant

  3. Drag and drop the Messenger to the template and remove the separate Email input field

  4. Select Recart at the Add integration tab

What's next?

After enabling the integration, don't forget to set up a Welcome message in your Recart account for your Optimonk subscribers. 💪 

It is a great way to send an automated message the moment people subscribe. And it's also perfect for providing a warm welcome to them, and make them reply back to your site so that you can later on send them a Sponsored Message

  1. Go to your Recart Dashboard and click on automated flows

  2. Go to the Welcome flow editor and enable the welcome message for Optimonk in the upper right corner with the toggle.

In the editor, you can build up a chatbot, where an automated message will fire out after your customers reply. 🎉 Again, it is important to build a flow with the customers as it is their replies that later enable you to send them Sponsored Messages. 

Now your Recart-Optimonk integration is live, and no further action is required. 🙌
